Hearts & Flowers!

A sweet little selection I made last weekend. The hearts and flowers are hand made by moi! I'm still not 100% happy with my icing....Very happy with the consistent size of the cakes though....thanks to my ice-cream scoop trick taught by the lovely Vida!
Perfect quantities every time!

Clinker Cupcakes!

Another little experiment, vanilla cupcakes wih chocolate icing and clinkers!
The challenging part is cutting open the clinkers to try and find 3 different colours!Again, not very happy with the icing....unfortunately it is my downfall at the moment but practise will make perfect! Would like to try this again with chocolate cupcakes, piped chocolate ganache icing with the clinkers on the top just to add a little height. Also, I think I would change my wrappers to pink, green and yellow to match the clinker colours.

Congratulations Coach!

My Husband was recently appointed head coach at his Cricket Club for next season so I surprised him with these little guys. I used milk bottles for the bats, snaked for the handles and a gobstopper for the ball. I used tic tacs for the stiching on the cricket balls, orange and tropical flavour because the minty kind just wouldn't match with vanilla cucpakes!

C is for Cookie......& Cupcake!

Cookie Monster! Love Love Love this design! I used mini chocolate chip cookies broken in half. So simple yet so cute! I'm loving my new "spaghetti" piping nozel!
How Cute are these little guys! After making Elmo's at my lesson with Vida I just had to go home and try them out! I think the nose could have been a little bigger.... in class we used bubble gum but I only had gobstoppers! Probably not the best choice for children because they are hard to eat...but they are super yummy!

Kitchen Tea Cakes

These gorgeous little cupcakes are where it all began! I made these for my kitchen tea last year. As you can see the icing is a little dodgy but the idea was there! The butterfly's are just little sprinkles that you can get from Safeway.
